Roots

I created a questionnaire with analytical inquiries on our closeness with nature in our daily lives. Meant to evoke intimacy with nature, the paper was made with flowers and plants found on meditative walks in Forest Park, St. Louis. By typesetting the questions and making the paper by hand, the meditation continues, engendering a piece that is personal, intimate, and a representation of my methodical analysis of the natural world.

To help determine the questions, I employed a communal form, and focusing on creating a completely analog design offered its own challenges, as this was my first time both papermaking and typesetting.
